Restoring Maryland decks since 1985

The business is Kurt Sabaté's, and the line at the top of its own site says it plainly: “Maryland Pressure Washing & Deck Restorations since 1985.” Or, in the About note on that same site: “We have been restoring decks for home owners since 1985.” The base is 4409 Fishermans Ct, Olney, MD 20832, and the jobs run across Olney, Bethesda, North Bethesda, Silver Spring and Gaithersburg.

The work he is known for is the deck everyone else has given up on. “We specialize in restoring old-neglected decks,” is how Kurt puts it, and the jobs bear that out: gray, UV-burnt boards stripped back, washed with earth friendly detergents, and brought back to a finish the owner can be proud of again. That range covers more than pressure treated pine. Kurt works cedar and Ipé decks with the gentler approach those woods need, and takes on block and timber retaining walls and brick walks the same way: an even, careful clean rather than a blast that tears up the joints or the soil behind a wall. Mold and mildew come off with earth friendly detergents.
